Montserrat
Located 50 km north-west of Barcelona, Montserrat is considered the most important and significant mountain of Catalonia. It is both a spiritual and pilgrimage centre located in a magnificent natural setting, where the lady Moreneta (brunette) was found and became patron saint of Catalonia. A basilica was built in her honour at the top of the mountain with a beautiful panoramic view.
